Why Submit to Spectator?
Spectator Magazine has been produced annually for multiple generations of NCHS students – we encourage students to become a part of this literary legacy.
The Spectator Literary Magazine is an opportunity for students to share their work with peers, teachers, family, and friends.
To be published in a literary magazine is a big accomplishment, and can help build up resumes, applications, and, of course, one's self-esteem.
The Process of Submission:
Enter your work into this FORM or submit below
If your submission is for the magazine (a poem, short story, or art piece) simply attach a PDF of your writing or art into the form. Please specify through the form if you would like to be considered for writing/art of the month.
If your submission is for the website (in the form of a podcast, short film, or spoken word video) rather than for the magazine, please email us as at nchs.spectator@ncps-k12.org and include an accessible link in your email
2. Submissions are reviewed anonymously at a Spectator club meeting
If the piece is accepted (sometimes with minor edits), your name will be revealed. Otherwise you will remain anonymous.
3. Accepted is published in our digital magazine in June!
Exceptional work will be featured on the website or the Instagram page with your permission!
